Announcement: Retaliation - Path of War is now exiting the RC/Beta phase and has now reached version 1.0!

What's new?

NEW FEATURES:

* added two new connected maps, completing the second campaign

* added confirmation-less split UI (hardcore mode: no possibility to "cancel")

* (developer only) activated random initial player positions

* (developer only) added Decapitation game mode and generals

* (developer only) added hide, surprise attacks and ambush

UNDER THE HOOD CHANGES:

* added map directives REINFORCEMENTS_UNTIL_TURN, MAXPERARMY, MAXARMYPOWER

* (developer only) nca related: UI, rendering, cards, commands * improved autoscrolling camera (some bugs persist) * ghost class (for flags when HQ) * incremented max turn number to 999

BUGS STOMPED:

* Conquer HQ was changed to No Survivors after a TeamBreak

* smoke (no luck damage) was disappearing after split

* "duplicated" unit when conquering HQ with no-animation option enabled

* it was possible to move on a tile occupied by an ally

* access violation if last unit and no possible moves

* (developer only) no nca for attempted movements (e.g. rivercross) and split/join, forced march across rivers; ambush as free attack; nca click2pass * movement cost calculation error for ghost class * ifgreater function in ruleset class * (developer only) generals without ai state

PREVIOUS WARNINGS:

* version 0.97 added an alternative gameplay mode, called "no luck" which makes all combat results deterministic. You can choose it from the options menu if you like to play without randomness

* version 0.94 introduced some changes in campaign progress save which may result in some of your already played campaign maps appearing now locked. We apologize for the inconvenience.

* version 0.92 introduced an alternative combat mode called ("'videogamer'"); you can disable it in options if you prefer to keep playing in board game mode

* version 0.91 introduced antialiasing. If you encounter problems after enabling antialiasing, check the 0.91 changelog
